Weaving Fashion

3rd year:

A Woven collection for Fashion and Body course. The theme was the light aspect at day and night, which was portrayed in the Notre Dame Cathedreal in Paris. I focused on a myriad of light shades. It inspired me to design a Women's Winter Collection, which includes elegant tailored jackets and suits; Thus, I used soft threads such as viscose, wool and synthetic. Furthermore, I worked a lot with satin structure in order to create a smooth texture, and to give the fabrics a shiny look, like the stained glass in the Notre Dame Cathedral. I mainly used dark colors, but I also combined bright colors, lurex and metallic threads.
